June 23rd Please join us for our Summer Dance on June 23rd from 7-10 PM. Entertainment will be provided by “It Takes Two” BYOB and snack. Tickets are $10 and will be available in the Mailbox area on Tuesday and Thursday during the month of June! Joy Roberts and Linda Donnelly are hosting this event.

June 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM The Dazzler luncheon will be held at Micheli’s on Pine Island Rd. in Matlacha. Please sign up by June 5th. We will meet at the restaurant at 1:00 If you need a ride call Jeanne Michalak at 941-676-0549 or jeanmichalak8@gmail.com All Blue Heron Pines ladies are welcome to join us. Drivers, please let me know if you have room for someone in your car in case someone needs a ride.

Chili Cookoff Friday, June 8 at 6pm Do you make the best chili? If so, please enter the Chili Cookoff Volunteer Chefs are needed to make a big batch of their chili to enter the contest. Each entry will be assigned a number. Only one person will know the chef of each entry. Servers other than chefs will be needed to serve the chili. Tickets are $5.00 and each ticket holder will be able to taste and vote for their favorite chili. Once voting is done then folks can go for a bowl of chili. Cornbread and tortilla chips will be provided. Depending on the number of entries and participants, prizes and bragging rights will be awarded. The winning Chef’s picture will be displayed on the bulletin board for the month. There is a signup sheet on the bulletin board in the clubhouse. LADIES On Thursday, November 15th from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. the Mammobile will be coming to Blue Heron Pines to administer mammograms to women who will be eligible for the procedure. If you haven’t had your yearly mammogram within a year and a day of November 15th, your health insurance company or medicare will pay for the test. There will be more information concerning the mammobile in the coming newsletters. In October there will be a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. There will be enough time to accommodate 15 ladies within the time period that is allotted to our community. Your mammogram will be sent to Cape Coral Radiologist and a copy sent to your doctor and you after the reading of the xrays. Please consider having this done. We must have at least 10 to 15 ladies sign up for the procedure for the mammobile to come into our park. It is a wonderful convenience to all those ladies who can’t drive to their clinic or haven’t had a mammogram done in recent times. More information will be coming closer to the event. June 18th The Big Red Bus will be here on Monday June 18th 9am to 12:30pm located at the Pro Shop Parking Lot.

There is an appointment sheet at the Community Center if you would like to make an appointment.
