We have finally received an answer (sort of) from our attorney concerning the legality of Show Me the Money. Since the game is relatively new, it is not clearly defined in Florida’s gambling Statute 849. No one has ever challenged the many places that sponsor it and the people that play it so there is no precedent available at this time. Because of this it is not possible to know whether it is legal or not, and since some people in BHP have publicly threatened to report us to the authorities, our attorney recommends that the HOA not sponsor this game until further guidance can be obtained from the gaming commission.
