The next planning meeting for the New Year’s Eve celebration will take place at the clubhouse on 11/30 at 9:30 am.

Hope to see you there.

As we approach Veterans Day, there will be days off, cookouts and football games,

but what is getting lost is this holiday was born to honor those that served and those that have fallen.

Men & women like our sons and daughters, fathers, brothers, sisters, uncles and aunts who served their country, many who paid the ultimate price.

Sometimes we forget what has transpired…we forget the price they paid…just a few pictures to remind us of what that sacrifice looks like to regular folks like you and me.

This Veteran’s Day take a moment to honor their sacrifice, and maybe a small prayer for the safety of those serving today.

Thank a VET, we enjoy the safety they supply every day!

The most essential part of the Golf Cart parade is…you guessed it decorated golf carts.

Last year with over 35 carts participating was a truly special event enjoyed by all the residents and visitors.

So this is a plea to all to participate and decorate a golf cart, fancy, simple, big or small, lights or no lights, come and be part of the fun.

More info will follow but plan your cart now and be ready for 12/13. Santa is watching!

Walt King has volunteered to become the new Gator Tales editor.

Please send him anything you want included in the newsletter no later than the 15th.

Earlier is welcome too as he is new and there is much to learn.

Would also like to take a moment to thank Wilson Yerk, who has been the Editor for the past couple of years.

Although many may not notice, Wilson brought a new and fresher look to the Gator Tales,

and behind the scenes updated the software used to create Gator Tales making it easier to edit and handle for the rest of us.

 

Thank you, Wilson, for a job well done!

 

Winter Wonderland & Golf Cart Parade…Volunteer Help Needed. Meeting 11/8 10 am clubhouse.

The Golf Cart Parade and Winter Wonderland party is one of the most popular and well attended events held all year.

It requires a fair number of volunteers to help make it a success.
We estimate this year we will need at least 18 people to make the event a smash for all who attend.

The next meeting for this event is:
November 8, at 10 am at the clubhouse.

If you can offer a few hours of help we sure can use it.

SANTA & RUDOLPH NEED A LITTLE HELP!

The Winter Wonderland and Golf Cart Parade

Will take place on 12/13.

Activities this year will include:
Golf Cart Parade
Lighting of the Christmas Tree
Awards for Best Carts and Best House decorations
Ugliest sweater/shirt contest
Santa’s Visit
Christmas carols. 50/50 raffle
Free hot dogs, chips, soda, hot chocolate

Parade route like last year will be around perimeter of the park. after the parade all carts will be on display, with lights on
at the clubhouse as long as the batteries last.

Last years event was the most successful to date, with over 35 decorated golf carts and incredible attendance, over 200 folks turned out to share some holiday spirit.

Golf Carts assemble 5-6 pm in clubhouse parking lot
Parade kicks off at 6:00 to 7:00 pm
Residents can come to club house any time after 6:00 pm and wait for the carts to return while they enjoy a hot dog or two.
Christmas tree lighting and Santa’s Visit 7:30 to 8:00pm
Awards ceremony immediately after.

So, decorate your cart, come to the party, share some food and spirit with your neighbors and friend.
