MEMORIAL DAY Monday May 27 1:30 am
There will be a special memorial event held by the flag in the mail kiosk area and in the clubhouse to honor all Veterans who have served our country and are no longer with us. If you would like to submit a picture of a family member, friend or neighbor, please do so by sending the picture, their name, rank, branch of service and their connection to you, to Maureen Heger at maureen.heger127@gmail.com by Monday, May 13, 2019. We will have a memorial service beginning at 11:30 followed by a luncheon. More information will be coming shortly.
HORSE RACES

The annual Horse Racing event will be held on April 13, 2019. Keep the date open for an evening of fun.
Joe and Judy Casimir will be chairing the event. Tickets are $2.00 & will be sold Tues. & Thur. at the mail kiosk

In a very nice ceremony last night at the HOA Meeting the Blue Heron Pines
Quilters presented two beautiful patriotic quilts to two very deserving
veterans living in our community.
Tim McPhillips, served in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971, and
some of that time was served in Cam Rhan Bay, Vietnam. Tim and his wife
Judy, hail from Canfield, Ohio, and have been
Married for 35 years.
Ken Ramsey, served our country for 20 years in the United States Air Force
from 1954 to 1974. Ken served 4 plus years in Washington, DC, and was
stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. He served 11
years as an electronics supervisor with the Strategic Air Command. Ken and
his wife were married in 1957, and after retirement moved to Blue Heron
Pines in 1998.
Congratulations to both men for their service and sacrifice to our country.
Thank you for your service.
Also congratulations to the Blue Heron Pines Quilters, such a thoughtful and
heartfelt thing to do by donating two beautiful quilts and to say thank you
to these fine gentlemen.
Special recognition to:
Liz Black, Nancy Kelly, Kathleen Langman, Eileen Porter for helping with the
presentation, and to the entire group of BHP Quilters for their
thoughtfulness.

Spring Fling
April 6, from 7 to 10 in the clubhouse.
The entertainer is Vincent Brown and will provide listening and dance music.
$10.00 pp. BYOB and snacks
Tickets available Tuesday and Thursday at the mail kiosk 2 to 4.
Also there will be a state meeting for the Spring Fling on March 30th at 10 am in the clubhouse to wrap up the final plans.
