Chowder Cookoff- Friday October 5, 2018 6pm.
We are looking for the best homemade Chowder in Blue Heron Pines. If you think you have the best, sign up for the chowder cookoff. Each contestant makes a big batch of chowder. (to be served after tasting)
Each contestant’s chowder will receive a number. (Maureen Heger will be the only person who will know whose chowder is whose. Even the chef will not know their number of their chowder.)
Each ticket holder will be able to taste and vote for their favorite chowder. Once the votes are in the best chowder will be announced and will receive a prize, bragging rights and the chefs’ picture will be displayed on the bulletin board. Each ticket holder should bring their own bowl and spoon and will be able to go back and get a serving of their favorite chowder. (important that contestants make enough to share)
Tickets are $5.00. Crackers and beverages will be provided. Please BYOB. There will be a signup sheet in the clubhouse for anyone who would like to participate. Questions should be directed to Maureen Heger 732 259-0596.
