Memorial Day Observance
As you know, our events have been sidelined due to the corona virus. The Memorial Day program that was planned, has taken on a bit of a change. We would like to Honor all the Veterans who have served our Country. If you have a deceased member of your family or friends that you would like to honor, we will do it as follows:
From Friday May 22, 2020 thru Friday May 29, 2020 we will display flags in the grassy area of the mail kiosk. If you would like to add a flag to the area in honor of your family or friends, please do so. If you are out of town and would like us to display a flag for you, please contact Maureen Heger. Help me fill the area with flags to honor all veterans, lets add a few extra flags for those who have no family around to honor them.
Secondly, we will have our “Wall of Honor” displayed on the wall outside of the clubhouse. Anyone who submitted a picture last year, the photo will be displayed again this year. If you wish to have you a photo displayed, please send the picture with name and branch of service and rank if known to Maureen.heger127@gmail.com, I will print and display it for you.
We will also have the “Honor Roll” of all names submitted displayed in the mail kiosk bulletin board. So, if you don’t have a picture of someone and would like them added to the honor roll just submit their name and branch of service to Maureen.
Let’s fill the area with flags to honor all veterans, even those we don’t know personally.
Any questions, please contact Maureen Heger at the email address above or 732 499-7777.
Member & Resident Re open Letter
Dear Members and Residents,
Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time. I am very excited to welcome members and paying residents back to the golf shop and course during our Phase One restricted Operations reopening.
The golf course and shop will be open Friday May 15th at 7am. However we are restricting access to two people at a time in the shop, so please only stop in if necessary to pay for your golf or if you wish to purchase items for sale. Golfers must have a tee time, so please call the shop to make your tee times. Member/ resident leagues that play all summer will have their usual starting times. The Snack bar will not be open at this time for food or to sit down at the tables. We will have limited drinks available to take outside with you.
The State still requires one person per golf cart and we prefer that members and residents use their own carts if possible. Please also continue to adhere to this as well as social distancing before, during and after your round. Our primary focus continues to be the health and well-being of our residents and team members.
Our summer greens aerficiation and topdressing program will be on May 27th. The golf course will be closed for all play starting at Noon.
Youngquist brothers well drilling will be installing a new well on the south end of the lake on hole #1. We are adding another well to increase our water during the drought times. This should start sometime in June.
Cart traffic. PLEASE keep your golf carts on the carts paths around tee boxes and greens. Try and drive in the rough as much as possible. With us having reduced water and not in rainy season our fairways have shown a lot of wear and tear from cart traffic.
Blue handicap flags allow those needing to get NO CLOSER than 20 feet away from the greens. Please be respectful and not drive up any closer. If you do not need, please do not park within 10 yards of the greens. We have added rope around the course to help keep carts off of the weak areas.
My team and I will be out on the course ensuring that members and paying guests are playing so please ensure that those who are required to do so stop in and pay before playing.
We hope that residents that enjoyed playing golf over these last six weeks will consider joining. We are offering $200 off a single membership and $400 off a couple’s membership as an incentive to join . For additional information please contact the golf shop.
Please remember that you must pay to play golf. You may purchase a round of golf before 5:00 pm and play after we close. You will be given a color coded ribbon for the day with your receipt. The ribbon and receipt must be with you at all times while on the course.
Walkers & Joggers are never allowed on the golf course. Residents that have not paid their green fee before 5:00 pm are not allowed on the golf course to play.
