Message from SUN

Dear Valued Resident,

At Sun, the health and well-being of our residents and team members is our priority. As COVID-19 is still a widespread concern, Federal, State and Local governments continue to recommend or mandate restrictions while others are moving to re-openings in a phased approach. We want to continue providing you with as much information as possible.

We have received a number of questions from our concerned residents regarding how to make their May rent payments while conforming to the current social distancing recommendations. Below are three options for submitting your rent payment that completely removes person-to-person contact:

Rent Payment Options:

  1. Sign up for electronic payments on our customer portal at SunEasyPay.com. We are waiving all service fees for May 2020 rent.
  2. Drop off your payment in the community drop box. We have implemented strict cleaning procedures of the area and will be accelerating pick-ups.
  3. Mail your payment to the local community office.

Sun Communities Coronavirus Financial Hardship Program
We are continuing to support our residents who have been impacted financially due to direct and significant wage loss as a result of COVID-19.  To this end, we have a Coronavirus Financial Hardship Program that offers a 12-month payment plan for May rent to those that can prove significant hardships. For information on our program and to apply for payment plan consideration, please visit SunWebPortal.com.

Phased Approach to Re-Opening
We appreciate you choosing one of our communities to call home and we are committed to doing everything we can to work through this difficult time together. With the safety and well-being of our residents in the fore front, we have developed a phased approach to re-opening our amenities and common areas. Once we have clearance from local governments, and we are able to secure the proper protective equipment, signage, and cleaning supplies, we will begin moving to Phase One: Restricted Operations. This phase will be focused on opening our outdoor amenities including our pools and dog parks. More detail will be provided soon by your local community. Stay tuned! Thank you for your continued patience, compassion, and understanding.

Please continue to check our website for update to date information at https://www.suncommunities.com/community-info-covid-19.

Sincerely,
Sun Communities, Inc.

Recommended Vendors

In years past the BHP Website had a page devoted to vendors and contractors who were recommended by BHP residents.

It was difficult to maintain and keep updated as vendors went out of business, moved or changed contact information.

Several residents have asked that we bring that page back. With the many new residents moving here to BHP it would be a useful tool when someone needs work or help but does not know who to call locally.

We have re-established the page on the website. To reach it you must go to BHPHOA.net. Once there log into the page. Then go to REGISTERED USERS / RECOMMENDED VENDORS. Here you will find a page where you can search vendors or create a vendor recommendation for someone you have used.

This listing will be created by residents here who would like to suggest a vendor that has done good work for a fair price.

The page is not a recommendation by the HOA, but by residents.

If you live here at BHP and do work for residents you are more than welcome to create a listing for yourself.

A Note From Dick and Mary Roller

Dear BHP Neighbors:

Just wanted to let you know we arrived safe and sound in Hammondsport. Traffic was light and moving right along. The Rest Areas were open on all the Interstates in case you are heading out on the road in the near future. The only inconvenience was finding drive through or take out food on the road. You don’t realize how much you appreciate a restaurant meal until you don’t have it as an option.

Best to you all, we have truly enjoyed our 15 years at Blue Heron Pines and wish the new residents at Lot 125 as much fun and enjoyment as we have had over the years. Stay safe and keep in touch!

We are in NY for the summer and when it is safe to travel we are headed to Washington State and a great adventure that will be!

Warm thoughts,
Dick and Mary

Another Event?

Creativity…let’s see what you’ve got!

Ok folks of BHP….. we are all doing our part and being safe by keeping our distance.

We also need some fun and laughter!!

Let’s see if we can put something outside our homes that would create some “laughter,  thought or just guessing” what it is…. make it awesome,  crazy or sentimental… we all don’t care,  just something to see other than the walls inside your house.

How creative can we become???

Janet Bolyard
