The Blue Heron Pines Races took place Saturday night April 13, and the crowd turned out in force. The gamblers, horses and jockeys were all in splendid form. The races were unpredictable and many were neck in neck. This is always a fun time and this year we would like to thank Joe & Judy Casimir for running the event. In addition it takes many volunteers to pull these events off and though too numerous to mention here, a big Thank You goes out to all of them…your friends and neighbors appreciate what you do.

Warm tropical night, soft breezes, good food and better friends, helped make Dancing in the Streets a wonderful event.

The BHP Bean Bag Baseball Playoffs were held today at Clubhouse Park. Both the fans and players were ready to play some ball. Competition was brutal but in the end the true champions emerged. Coming from a 9-1 deficit in the first game to win a seed and continuing on to take the BHP Bean Bag Baseball Championship. Congratulations to the Trailer Nasty Team and their scoring prowess to go undefeated in the playoffs.
Also thank you to Ron & Ella Smith for bringing Bean Bag Baseball to BHP, and for organizing and running the event for the entire season.
